Bali East Java Overview

Bali Barat National Park is a vital habitat for approximately 200 bird species, including around 170 resident species and numerous migratory birds from East Asia. The Bali myna, a bird that is both the mascot and a symbol of Bali province, is endemic to the island. Our birdwatching excursion will take place within the park, where we will explore various habitats, including monsoon forests, savannas, mangrove forests, saltpans, evergreen forests, and lowland rainforests.

In addition, birding in Ijen Nature Reserve, focusing on various bird species such as the Javan Frogmouth, White-faced Partridge, Black-banded Barbet, and many others. Notable birds to spot include the Pink-headed Fruit Dove, Sunda Warbler, and various woodpeckers and doves.

Bali & East Java Birding 5D4N

On Day 1, Arrival at Denpasar Airport - Bali Barat National Park
Transfer to Nusa Dua Lagoon for birdwatching cerulean kingfisher, sunda teal, scarlet-headed flowerpecker, cormorant, and egret, drive to Bali Barat National Park, overnight stay at a Resort in Bali Barat National Park

On Day 2, the itinerary includes a full day of birding at Bali Barat National Park, focusing on various species such as the Bali Myna, Black Winged Myna, and Javan Banded Pitta, among others. Following the birdwatching, there will be a ferry crossing to East Java, specifically to Banyuwangi, where the stay will be at a hotel in Banyuwangi.

On Day 3, the itinerary includes a full day of birding in Ijen Nature Reserve, focusing on various bird species such as the Javan Frogmouth, White-faced Partridge, Black-banded Barbet, and many others. Notable birds to spot include the Pink-headed Fruit Dove, Sunda Warbler, and various woodpeckers and doves. The day concludes with an overnight stay at a hotel in Banyuwangi.

On Day 4, Alas Purwo National Park full day birding in Alas Purwo National Park for Green peafowl, Javan Black Capped Babbler, Javan Blue Flycatcher, Javan spider hunter, lesser adjutant, whreathed hornbill, black banded barbet, little barbet, Javan Banded Broadbill, ruby throated bulbul, Javan leafbird, Night at a hotel in Banyuwangi

On Day 5, you will go birdwatching in the Ijen Nature Reserve in the morning. Afterward, you will be transferred to Banyuwangi Airport, marking the end of the trip.
